Founded in 2021, “FUNCIóN” is a second generation pottery studio in the heart of Santurce, Puerto Rico. Dedicated to the creation of functional-ware ceramics. From lavish homes and grand hotels to world renowned restaurants. Our one of a kind ceramics not only complement your favorite spaces but, will also serve a functionality that will last beyond our lifetime.
We approach every custom project as a unique opportunity to involve the client throughout the whole process, from design to finish.

I am Irvin Cofresí, potter and the founder of FUNCIóN Atelier.
My love for ceramics began at a young age, both my parents were potters and had studios of their own. It was through this trade, that they were able to provide for our family.
To this day, I remember my parents getting on the wheel and creating their masterpieces. I am fortunate to have grown up in such an environment, where the use of our imagination and creativity was widely encouraged. It is through these teachings that I fell in love with clay.
I hope this will encourage you to follow my journey and perhaps one day meet and create together.
